Die Lustigen Almdudler

Hailing from Rochester, New York, Die Lustigen Almdudler is celebrating 23 years of bringing hand-clapping, toe-tapping music to young and old alike. Specializing in German/Austrian music, this 4-piece group plays a wide selection of both traditional and modern songs. The band also features a schuhplattling show, as well as various skits and cowbell ringing. We never leave our audiences disappointed!

Die Lustigen Almdudler has headlined all over the Northeast and Canada, including Hunter Mountain NY, Lancaster PA; Cleveland OH; Stowe VT, and Helen Georgia, as well as at festivals from Michigan to Connecticut to Virginia. The group is often asked where in Germany they're from – a very high compliment indeed!
Die Lustigen Almdudler features band leader Teresa Mayer on clarinet, guitar, accordion, keyboard and vocals, Andy Mayer on drums, guitar, cowbells and vocals, Erik Mayer on accordion and buttonbox and Lars Meyris on trumpet, guitar, bass guitar and vocals.

The Continentals

We also welcome back the Continentals of Washington, DC was formed in May 1972 and has been under the leadership of Accordionist/Keyboardist Mike Surratt since their humble beginning as a "German" Oom-Pah band. In their 39+ year history the band increased their repertoire incorporating many different ethnic styles of polka and waltz music, plus popular dance hits from the 1940's through today. Many have tried to label this versatile group of musicians over the years, but most have faced the music that they just have to expect the unexpected at any given Continentals performance.

The Continentals certainly have created their own niche in the music world and have performed throughout the USA at Festivals, Dances, Concerts, Radio/TV, and on 9 Cruises to far away destinations. They have also produced 9 recordings and received airplay on more than 400 terrestrial radio stations and countless plays on internet radio broadcasts and websites.

Check out The Continentals of Washington, DC website at for more on this popular group.
