Saturday, Oct. 8, 2022, 3:00 — 11.00 p.m.
Let’s also remember and celebrate a historic event made possible by the leadership of
President Ronald Reagan, 40th President of the United States,
On October 3, 2021, Germany celebrated the 31st Anniversary of the Tag der Deutschen Einheit (Day of German Unity). Thirty-five years ago, on June 12, 1987, President Reagan spoke these words at the Brandenburg Gate in West Berlin:
“Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall”.
These words led to the fall of the wall and finally to an official unification of East and West Germany on October 3rd, 1990. The words sent by President Reagan across the Berlin Wall to Communist East Germany will ring in the ears of all Germans to this and future days.
