Each night of the Richmond Oktoberfest, men and women are invited to show off their strength and endurance. The winners receive a commemorative 3-liter fully functional beer stein.
Sign-up by registering at the information booth by 9:00 PM each night of the fest. Cost is $5 cash or tickets. Signup is first come first serve. There are a limited number of contest entries.
Contest Rules
- All judges rulings on who is no longer able to hold the stein in accordance with contest parameters are final.
- Contestant must hold a 1 liter ceramic stein as long as possible, filled with water at shoulder level. The stein is provided by the Oktoberfest and remain the property of the Richmond Oktoberfest.
- Contestant shall stand up straight and not lean back or to the side.
- Contestant shall fully extend the arm with the stein.
- Contestant shall maintain his or her other arm at his or her side. Other arm may not be used to provide balance or support.
- The contestant may not switch arms holding the stein.
- The winner is the last contestant standing who has not been disqualified.
